Romeo + Juliet
In this modern take on the Shakespearean classic, 9 players pack all the dramatic action into a 60-minute cut of the script. Performed in a three-quarter thrust, this version of R+J is all glitz and glam and youthful fun (... until it's not).
In the Absence of Maeve McGuire
With its charming references and energetic flare, this commentary on Harry Potter is a representation of our generation's take on friendship, siblinghood, and growing up. It also plays with all kinds of fun aesthetics and "magic" onstage, which is pretty cool too.
Remission
This play by Mason Sawyer-Lafferty explores the nuances of a terminal diagnosis. My staging of the play is what I would call "low-budget realism". It is a quiet piece with minimal staging and maximal stakes.
